About Somos Education
Somos Education, named Somos Educação in Portuguese, is an innovative, dynamic education group that prepares for a future even they can’t predict. Aiming to be the technology providers of students, teachers, and other institutions, they own various products that do just that, one of them being Plurall.
Plurall is an online study and teaching platform for students, teachers, and coordinators. The tool provides exercise lists so that students can practice what they learned in the classroom. In addition, the platform supports teachers as well: it has tutors ready to answer questions that may emerge while carrying out the activities and related to the content of the teaching materials while providing them with performance reports that show the results of each student.
About BOOKR Kids and its ESL application, BOOKR Class
Launched in 2015 by co-founders Dorka Horvath and Dani Karanyi, BOOKR Kids creates a wide array of interactive eBooks aimed at enhancing the literacy, social and cognitive skills of growing children. The ed-tech company is fast becoming globally recognized for its innovative application of animation, narration, text highlighting and games to immerse young students in a world of fun and discovery to help develop literacy skills and instill a love for reading.
BOOKR Kids is also responsible for the BOOKR Class Digital Textbook, a breakthrough educational tool that delivers a comprehensive multimedia approach to English As A Second Language (ESL) instruction.
How will the integration work?
Chosen books and content from BOOKR Class will be incorporated into Plurall’s curriculum accompanied by complete lesson plans. All of this will be available for all users of the platform. Classes will operate in a flipped classroom manner in the bilingual program where students can read BOOKR stories at home, and teachers conduct the lesson based on the lesson plans using the language material presented in the books. A real game-changer in ESL teaching.
